Sheherezade grew up in between Morocco and the UAE, where she has long nourished an ambition to create visual art. She moved to the UK to study filmmaking in 2017 at the Met Film School and then the London Film School, focusing on directing and cinematography. Since then, she has created numerous short fiction and experimental films, and well as documentaries, that have helped her nurture her eye and voice as an Afro-European storyteller.
Sheherezade aspires to tell more stories revolving around the characters that occupy the abstract and naive world that she grew up in. Since Revolutionary Baby, Sheherezade has been developing her next film, set in Northern Morocco, and is currently at the writing stage of it.
