Michelle Keserwany

Michelle Keserwany is a Lebanese filmmaker, writer, and musician, renowned for her satirical socio-political music videos created with her sister Noel since 2012. The sisters' first short film, "Les Chenilles,"30’, was written by Michelle and co-directed with her sister Noel. This film achieved a significant milestone as the first Arab film to receive the Golden Bear for Best Short Film at the 2023 Berlinale. "Les Chenilles," currently on its world festival tour, received the Jury Prize at the Malmo Arab Film Festival and the Audience Prize at the Champs Elysees Film Festival. Currently, Michelle is in the process of developing three feature films: the documentary "Slow Burn," which she is developing alongside her sister Noel—a co-production between Lebanon and France, an adult animation titled "Ouzkourini" and a live-action satirical drama set in Lebanon, "AMARA," for which she was awarded the "Author's Fund" from CNC France in 2021 in addition to 3 development awards from the Amman International Film Festival.
