Julia Freij is a Palestinian American writer/director based in Los Angeles. A graduate of the American Film Institute, her work often focuses on the intersection of gender and culture with heavy influence of her Palestinian heritage. By centering female agency, particularly at times of introspection, she seeks to explore the characters' world through a poetic, yet grounded lens.
