Jasmin Mozaffari

Dubbed by Variety as a “major talent”, Jasmin Mozaffari is an award-winning Toronto-based film & television writer/director. Her debut feature, FIRECRACKERS, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2018. Firecrackers won Best Film at the Stockholm International Film Festival and Jasmin took home the award for Best Director at the Canadian Screen Awards. In 2019, FIRECRACKERS was released theatrically in Canada and the US to rave reviews. Peter Debruge (Variety) compared Jasmin to a “young Andrea Arnold”, the film was named a New York Times Critic’s Pick and was further celebrated by The LA Times, Vulture (Best Films of 2019), New York Magazine, and The Hollywood Reporter. In 2024, Jasmin was invited to participate in the International Film Academy in Bolgna, Italy under the mentorship of Oscar nominated & Golden Globe winner, Andrey Zvyagintsev. Jasmin also directs episodic television for networks like Netflix, CBC, PBS, and HULU.
