The MENA Film Festival celebrated togetherness, whether that was in-person or across the time and geographies. We welcomed live audiences for the second year in a row for films spanning the common theme of land and climate stewardship. With over 50 films and half a dozen panels, industry workshops and networking events, the MENA/SWANA community continued its celebration of the lands of our common origin and those we occupy today.
Generations is a bundle that deepens our understanding of home, lineage and family for communities within the MENA/SWANA region and its diaspora. From horror films to archival documentaries, these films discuss intergenerational trauma, the tension between ‘here’ and ‘there’ and how land follows us wherever we go.
