Daniel D Negatu

Born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Daniel has been making experimental, documentary and narrative work for the past ten years and holds an MFA in film production from York University in Toronto where he received the graduate program thesis prize. Throughout his active creative practice, Daniel has worked, trained and produced work in Ethiopia, France, South Africa, Burkina Faso, Kenya, Canada, and the US. His work has been exhibited at international film festivals in Africa, Europe, and North America and can be found in the libraries of prestigious universities including the Harvard Film Archive. For the past two years, he has been working for a large media agency in BC where his experience in media production and technical knowledge is put into practice every day.
